Wherever you may be today and how you got there is not as important as why. My husband and I have been talking quite a bit with our daughters about what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving. All three of them agree it is being together with family.
We are very fortunate our families are healthy and enjoy being together. We all have very busy lives so we should be grateful for this day which allows us the time to gather and celebrate.
It is much harder for those serving in our military to be separated from their loved ones, as my husband and I were when he was deployed with the Marines. So please remember those who are serving and their families as you gather with yours.

I have had so much fun these past few weeks talking with customers and friends about their traditions. Whether yours is catching a plane to a warm beach, staying at home, or driving your family crazy with that long drive to Gramma’s house; where your children get asked the same questions every year by that certain aunt or uncle, it is special to be with family. Our Thanksgiving morning is usually spent in our pj’s laughing, watching some of the Macy’s Parade and preparing whatever dishes we are bringing to my Mom’s.

We are so very thankful to have met so many wonderful people in our store and through social media. I am blessed with my amazing Beautiful Mess staff and the terrific relationships built over these past two years.
Today is a great time to remember how our friends and family have blessed us, make some new memories and remind those we love why they are important to us.
